Your heating and cooling system is the most important component insuring you are comfortable in your home. At SOS Heating and Cooling we have been servicing heating and cooling systems since 1950. The main reason for the longevity is that we take care of you, the customer.
 
We do not pay our technicians commissions for changing out parts. This results in fair treatment to our customers. If the problem can be fixed in an hour that is all you are charged for. During each visit we do a full inspection of the entire system, alerting you of any future repair issues.
 
Unlike many of our competitors, we do not charge a diagnostic fee for service calls. We come to your home with the intent to repair. We charge $85/hr plus parts for residential customers and $95/hr plus parts for commercial. There is a one hour minimum. We do not charge a trip fee. We believe this pricing policy is the most fair to our customers. The majority of repairs are minor and only result in an hour labor charge plus a minimal part charge. Peace of Mind (POM) & Commercial Maintenance (CMP) Contracts

 
One of the last things on your mind is your heating and cooling system, until it stops working. This always seems to happen at the worst possible time. Probably on the hottest day of the year, when every service company in town is busy. Heating and cooling failure makes for a very stressful and unhappy home. For a business, failure results in dissatisfied customers, uncomfortable employees, and ultimately lost profits for your organization. This is why it makes sense to enroll in a maintenance program. • As a POM customer your equipment will be serviced on a bi-annual basis.
• Each visit we will make sure your filter is changed. All controls are checked, cleaned, and lubricated as needed.

Yesterday we arrived home from work to find that our furnace was not working. Who to call? We were not happy with the last company that worked on our furnace. We decided on SOS Heating and Cooling because we thought you had a good reputation.

Our call to you was promptly answered and quickly processed. We were told of the extra overtime charges up front and given a 1 hour turn-around time for a repairman to arrive. He arrived in one hour and we even receved a call telling us that he was on his way.

Jody was our repairman. He was friendly (even at the end of a long workday), prompt and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He even went the extra mile and discovered a blockage in our humidifier line and fixed it. We were not even aware that it wasn't working!

To top it off, through my conversation with Jody, I discovered that he was not even the on-call repairman for the night. He had finished another job in our part of town and decided to take our job as a way to help the on-call person who was working on the other side of town. This allowed us to get our heat restored quicker than if we would have had to wait for the other repairman. We applaud his work ethic and collegiality with his co-workers.

On 7/11, Wednesday, late aternoon we found our air conditioner was inoperable, made a phone call to your company, and were told we'd see a technician either on Thursday or possibly Friday. To my surprise on 7/12, at 10am I received a call your technician was on the way. Thank you for your prompt response.

When our service tech, Scott, arrived he was pleasant, respectful, and efficient. He made certain to wipe his feet before he walked on our carpet. While in the basement he efficiently checked the A/C unit, spent a few minutes explaining to me what he was doing, and walked me through some suggestions on upkeep of the unit. He came and went through our basement and fron door always being careful our dog wasn't let out.

Once he determined what the unit required he quickly made the necessary repairs, again explaining to me in detail what he was doing. HE made certain the area was clean and everything back in place before he left. My husband wasn't home during the service call, so Scott kindly left his name and phone number in order for my husband to contact him if there were any questions.

He presented the bill in a professional manner again explaining the repairs and allowed us a senior discount and made certain I was aware of the 30 day warranty. When he called your office to get approval for the credit card your office staff was efficient and quick to approve. Scott suggested we have our 12 year old unit checked annually, which we will do.

Because of his polite demeaner and efficiency we will be using your company for all of our future needs relative to our heating/air. Scott should be commended for his work and for the professional manner in which he represents your company.
